Question : Setting up a PXE boot server to install windows ghost image

I'm just doing some research on the subject. I was curious if there was any literature or links that people have used to specifically do this.

I have a PXE boot server set up based on these instructions:
http://linux-sxs.org/internet_serving/pxeboot.html

We are constantly building PCs with the exact same windows install with the exact same programs/settings on each. We figured it would be more efficient to build a boot server that can serve out this image.

Any of you have experience with this and might be able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Answer : Setting up a PXE boot server to install windows ghost image

The setup described in the link you provided is to setup a stand-alone PXE server within a self-contained switch.  If you have managed switches, you can VLAN this out.

Check out this site:  http://www.petenetlive.com/Tech/Windows/WDSGHOST/WDSandGHOST.htm

This will setup PXE on a windows box and uses your pre-existing DHCP.

Hope this helps
