Question : Printer not attached to network but can be shared?

There is a network where printer is not attached directly to any PC but it can be shared to all computer. How can this possible? When i inspect the printer, the usb cable connect to HP jetdirect 175x then it connect to the wall. I think HP jetdirect 175x play a role here.

Printer softwares are installed on Print Server itself. So this printer is shared on Print Server itself.
