Question : VLAN Configuration on a Windows Network

Hi Everyone,

I have a network of 300 Desktops with a single domain. I have got 10 Cisco 2950 T24 switches and a Cisco 3550 T12 Gigabit Switch with a Cisco 2620 Router and Cisco Pix 515.

I want to configure the VLAN in my network to have different divisions. Can anyone help me out with the steps to configure the VLAN's. If you provide me with the documentation or command lines that would be great help to me.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Rakesh.

Answer : VLAN Configuration on a Windows Network

Hi Rakesh,

With 300 pc's I wouldn't create too many VLAN simple due to the management required and not to make things too complex.

These links should guide you through the process.
