Question : Installing TightVNC

Hi All,

I've been trying to install the Server side of TightVNC as a Windows service. I've been following the instructions provided by tight VNC.

It describes to go to Programs->TightVNC->Administration->Install VNC Service.

Everytime I do this I get an error that "The WinVNC service could not be installed".  I thought maybe there was a problem with the install of TightVNC, so I removed it and re-installed, but it's still happening.

I'm running Windows 2000 sp4.

What am I doing wrong?

If VNC server is a service, then you've already installed it and that's what the error message is telling up.

You should be able to use VNC without problems, in service mode once you've applied the password details
