Question : Title: GPO Mapped Drives script (vbs) not stable
|
|
Hi,
I recently asked a question about mapped drives appearring and disappearing of our network. The drives were mapped using batch files through GPO (server 2003 / XPSP2).
I got some great answers and now use vbs to map the drives (as of 3 days ago). Things are much better but...
Yesterday - 1 user came to me and they have NO drives mapped. They are in a group along with many other users who have the same script run and the drives are fine. gpresult shows the script to have run. I have tried gpupdate then logoff/logon several times but no effect.
Today - 2 users came to me to say they are missing a drive. Both these users are in the same group (5 drives in total) who's drives are mapped fine. But, these users were missing a (W:) drive, the other a (X:) drive. All the drives are scripted from the same file
T: W: X: P: U:
I am willing to bet another user will come to me tomorrow to tell me they are missing something else.
Please PLEASE can somebody tell me how HALF a script can be run and what I can do about it - I'm pulling my hair out!!!!!
Ben

Just the MsgBox line - that's responsible for popping up the error summary.
