Question : can't log onto router.

Hi,
I have a Linksys cable router which has always worked fine and not given problems.
Just recently however, I find I can't log onto 192.168.1.1 to manage it.
I get nothing at all and after a wait the address fails.
I tried turning off all firewalls but this made no difference.

So I then tried plugging my laptop into the same port on the router and het presto it goes straight into the router screens no problem at all.

Any ideas why my main PC can no longer manage this router and how I can resolve the problem?

like I said 'You might try another browser on the PC (e.g., firefox) to eliminate the possibility of some IE restriction (zones, filters, plugins, *proxy*, hijack).'
