Question : Atheros Internal Wireless card in Toshiba A45 issue

Issue with Atheros Wireless Card in Toshiba A45 laptop. Device Manager shows card "enabled" but the atheros software shows "disabled". When I "diasble" the card in Device Manager, it becomes "enabled" in software, however since disabled in device manager software won't "see" wireless networks etc. It appears to be backwards. Is this possible and how can I fix it.

Sorry for delay, I forgot this question was still open. Couldn't figure out issue, so we got a new computer and trashed this one. Not worth spending any more time on.
