Question : Domain Controller Not Found - Unable to Join Domain

I've set up a new server with win2003 server as a domain controller. I got an error from the first win xp pro workstation to join the domain:

"A domain controller for the domain could not be contacted

The error was: "DNS name does not exist."
(error code 0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR)

The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.DOMAIN NAME

Common causes of this error include the following:

- The DNS SRV record is not registered in DNS."

Have you run
 ipconfig  /flushdns
and then
  ipconfig  /registerdns
Or rebooted the machine since?
