Question : windows XP Home can Ping cannot browse
Hi,
I have an XP Home SP2 machine can Ping cannot browse/ connect to POP / update antivirus. The machine is connected to a router the other PC can do everything so no problems there. IP and DNS are set to auto. System works and connects in safe mode
I've tried:
Running scans with AVG 8, Spybot S&D, Superantispyware in safe mode and cleaned up..
Winsockfix
ipconfig /renew
removed IE and reinstalled IE 7
installed Firefox
ran hijjackthis
apart from reinstalling the lot what else can I do?

it seems from your log that Symantec was installed on the system?
did the problem started fater removing it?
have you ran the Norton Removal tool?
is it possible for you to check the internet connection from safemode with networking?
