Question : Cisco IOS image download

I am in the process of learning how to upgrade the IOS on a cisco 7200 series router.  However, I don't know where to download the new image.  Do I have to buy this from Cisco directly, or are they freely downloadable?

You need to have a support contract for your devices with Cisco. If you have, then you will be having a CCO account (nothing but a username and password). Using that you can logon to Cisco site and download the software directly.
