Question : File Lock Error

I created a GroupWise distribution list and whenever I try to add a member I get the following error.

An Error Occured Modifying an Attribute Value. File Lock error (0x820E)

Any Ideas?

Answer : File Lock Error

A file lock error probably indicates 1) the file is locked (duh) or 2) you have a bad file stuck in the queue:

#1 - Find out what has the WPDOMAIN.DB locked and clear/correct it.
#2 - Bring down the MTA down, rename the WPCSOUT, WPCSIN and MSLOCAL directories, bring the MTA back up.
       If the problem goes away, add the files from the renamed directories back into teh (automatically created) WPCSOUT, WPCSIN, and MSLOCAL
       directories until you find out which one is bad.
