Question : FreePBX Asterisk Problem Phone wont stop ringing!

Hi Everyone

I have set up an AsteriskNOW box on a spare machine I have and have setup the SIP trunk. Incoming calls work fine, but when an outgoing call is made, the phone being called rings, but when the call is answered the SIP phone keeps ringing and no conversation can be had.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
Here is the outgoing sip details, but I have tried several variations all with the same problem:

host=sip.kiwilink.co.nz
username=049748972
fromuser=049748972
secret=XXXX
type=friend

And yes, have tried adding nat=no/yes qualify etc.... Doesnt make any difference unfortunately.

Is your Asterisk server behind NAT? It sounds like Asterisk is sending the wrong IP address in the top Via. That can happen when Asterisk is behind NAT and you haven't configured externip and localnet in sip.conf.
