Question : Netstat: <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.sf:http" target="_blank">www.sf:http</a> established, what is this?

Hi,

I checked the netstat connections to my computer and a remote connection to www.sf:http was established. Anybody know what this is?

The computer is always on and i just remotly connected to it now, to listen to some music on msnmusic. Windows media player closed down suddenly. Checked the netbios status ,It was no connection to sf when i tried 2 minutes later. I had no webpages up, exept with msn music on wmp.. This is still up..

Answer : Netstat: <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.sf:http" target="_blank">www.sf:http</a> established, what is this?

www.sf does not exist in the global DNS (In fact, it appears that .sf is not a valid top level domain).  However, since your machine is reporting a connection to www.sf, your local machine's resolver must have some sort of idea to what www.sf resolves...  If www.sf is unfamiliar to you, perhaps you have some sort of virus or spyware running on your machine?

Cheers,
-Jon
