Question : Is it possible to have optimum onlien give you a cisco 861 series router rather than a 851? Or use the 861 with a dsl modem as a bridge?

The 851 does not support MAC Security. Is there a way to pay more for them to give the 861 to you?

Also is it possible to use the 861together with a dsl modem using the modem as a bridge and storing the dsl ID/Pass on the cisco rather the dsl modem?

but don't forget the 851 is weak and not stable router, better way if you choose from 87x series
