Question : Can't run programs on a shared drive using remote desktop.

We have users on Windows XP Pro PS2 accessing a remote desktop session on a Windows 2003 server.  Users attempt to run a program in the session that is mapped to a specific drive and they get the following error.  "Windows Cannot access the specified device, path or file.  You may not have appropriate permissions to access."  Users can access the drive and open files but when they attemp to run ANY sort of executable they get that error.

Answer : Can't run programs on a shared drive using remote desktop.

The issue is related to Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration.
I suggest we disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration on
Terminal Server. To do so, follow the steps below:

1. Click Start->Control Panel-> Add/Remove Programs
2. Click Add/Remove Windows Components
3. Click to clear checkbox next to Internet Explorer Enhanced Security
Configuration.
4. Press Next and follow the wizard to finish it.
