Question : Exchange 5.5 Outlook 2000 choosing sender address
We configured in outlook the services "MS Exchange Server" as well as private Internet-Mail Accounts.
Everything (sending and receiving) from all accounts work perfectly, but the users are not able to choose the sender's address when sending mail.
Bottom line we want the users to be able to select the sender's address when sending a mail to someone outside the company. For instance when the mail is business related the sender's address shall be "
[email protected]
" and if they send a private mail it shall be "
[email protected]
"
In the internet only version (imo) of Outlook one is able selecting the address in the option page of the message before sending. in the corporate version (which allows to connect to Exchange Server) this feature seems to be missing
Thanks for help!

Sorry meant "send as" rather than "send on behalf of",

23.asp
tells how to do this using anonymous as the name you send as, although in your case you'll have to create more than just one mailbox, say one mailbox for each user you want to have 2 names they send as.
You'll also have to restrict permissions so that
[email protected]
can't send as
[email protected]
