Just a quick query about our DNI phone users, it will give the expression 2 9 9 1 1 when locating the port through the number, all of it is marked out, I know 2 is the second shelf, what does the rest stand for? I know there are 16 ports in each block.

This is the PLID =  Physical Location IDentifier (PLID).

Channels are immaterial unless you have a PKM.

First Channel -->  Select the attached device type.
Second Channel  --> Select the attached device type PKM12, PKM48, AIM, or Dual PKM. Unassigned channels must be left "No Device".

So you are looking at cabient or unit 2, shelf 9, slot 9, circuit 1, channel 1

on the block this might be marked as 9/9/1
