Question : Ping Reply
I am running into a weird issue, when I ping a server (DEERFIELD) from another server (DEERFIELD2) I get my normal reply (IP address, bytes sent and the time) but here is where it gets weird after some time I try it again, from the same places, and this time my reply is diffrent this time it is replying back with the other NIC address. Why would that happen? This is going to be a multiple question issue. See attachment below which has been sanitized.
Answer : Ping Reply
Check on the dns server that DEERFIELD2 is using. Is it using multiple dns servers? Does the dns server have multiple entries for DEERFIELD in it?
Try doing an nslookup on DEERFIELD2 like this:
nslookup DEERFIELD
