Question : Wireless Edimax  router & wireless dlink router

I have 2 floors at home..1 floor have edimax wireless router, the second upstair floor having problem getting the signals from the edimax (seems distance problem or watever),
anyway i went and buy another wireless router (Dlink) and wanna put it in the second floor.
i need to connect both edimax and dlink togother , to have the dlink in second floor working as a second wireless router to solve problem of the connectivity in the second floor.
how can i connect them togother?
