Question : Name resolution when using ping - does it use cache after the 1st ping

When doing a ping/t to a domain name, does each ping part of the ping/t sequence actually requests a DNS name resolution from the DNS server, or do the subsequent pings use the ip address from some sort of cache (obtained by the 1st ping). ?

Thanks

To be honest, if you're having name resolution issues the first step should be to remove the Forwarders entirely. That was they're out of the troubleshooting equation.

I would use Dig for the query time and parse the response there. Ping / FlushDNS is a bit clunky.
