Question : Change the Windows 2003 NTBackup catalog directory

Hi -

Can anyone tell me how to change the directory where The Windows 2003 sever saves the NTBackup catalog files? By default, our server is saving the catalog
files to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\NTBackup\catalogs51 directory.
I would like to change the path where the catalogs files are stored to E:\NTBackupcatalogs.  Lastly, can anyone tell me if we need to keep these catalog files?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Answer : Change the Windows 2003 NTBackup catalog directory

No, you shouldn't need the catalog files at all. Even if you took the .bkf file to a pc that has never even used ntbackup you could just go to the restore tab, right click on file, click catalog, then select the .bkf and it would generate a brand new catalog file for you to restore with.
