Question : problem with wirless network

i just secured my network at my house and it use to be unsecure.  I have 4 computers and i got 3 of them online but one of them says its connected but it says its only getting a 2% signal.  At one point it said that it was getting a 62% signal but it still would not get online.  Its back at 2% can someone tell me how i can get a better signal? its very strange cuz i had no problems with the other 3 computers!

The cheap wireless card probably does not support WPA (very common), and since it worked before securing, I expect that is the problem. I would consider replacing the wireless card in the old compaq (if you feel it is worth it), or maybe it is time to move on in terms of computers. Thanks for the information update. ... Thinkpads_User
