Question : Wireless Internet + Wired Internet

Hi,

I wired my cable modem to a router, and from there I wired a few computer.
Now I have a laptop with wireless internet connection. Is it possible to connect something on the utp port of the wired router, some kind of wireless sender, so that I have wireless internet connection on my laptop ?

Greetings,

Tony.

Answer : Wireless Internet + Wired Internet

Hi tony,

This does seem a longish way to approach this solution. There are very good "all in one" solutions for around £50.

If you didnt want to do this you can get whats called a wireless access point.  These plug into a ethernet connection on your network.  They need to have an valid static IP address applied.

As you can see these are around £30 -£40 so your probably better off going for an all in one solution.

Hope that helps
