Question : wireless connection question
Equipment: NetGear Wireless Router and Zoom Cable Modem.
Ethernet cable connected between laptop and one of the four LAN ports of the router.
Ethernet cable connected between modem and Internet port of router.
The software for the netgear router was installed on the laptop.
At issue: If I remove the ethernet cable from the laptop, I'm still able to connect to the laptop. Why? I'm not following how I'm able to surf when one end of the cable between laptop and router is removed
Answer : wireless connection question
Either:
1- "NetGear Wireless" You are are using the wireless signal, not unintentionally.
2- You get randomly conneted to one of your neighbours wireless signals, unintentionally.
