Question : Zenworks remote management disconnects after 1-2 minutes, profile issues
|

Netware 6.5 SP4 Zenworks 6.5 xx
When connecting to a workstation (I was logged in as admin) you can remotely manage any workstation but then after 30 seconds to 2 minutes the session it abruptly disconnects and gives the message: "Would you like to disconnect or restart your session?" All of the "prompt user" options are off the remote management properties and I have sat at both ends of a test workstations to make sure nobody is "playing" (to rule that out). Another really odd thing is that when you are remotely administering a workstation the user's logon script no longer executes properly. But as soon as you get off everything works fine. These problems were replicated at several workstations with serveral different user accounts. To add to all of this the profile remains on the machine and when the profile is deleted locally they are then no longer able to logon to the network for several minutes, really odd stuff but am still in the middle of investigating, any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks! (Let me know if you need more info)

If you can dig up the old Blackviper site, you could use it as a reference tool and set up a Zen app to push services startup changes to turn off the useless services that could be impacting networking...
