Question : Unable to browse trusted domains in a forest
We just went through the process of changing our AD servers in four domain. We added one PDC and one BDC to each domain for a total of eight. Also making them the DNS and time servers for each site. Currently our problems are:
1) We are able to resolve some of the servers with ping -a command but others can't. You can ping the ip but are unable to resolve the name to that IP. The DNS entry's are there, we have even deleted the entry's and recreated them but still resolving them is not 100%.
2) We are unable to browse the trusted domain. They don't even show up when we try and map a drive or browse a share in the other Domain.
Any help would be great

Answer : Unable to browse trusted domains in a forest
1)
How is DNS configured when resolving is partial working?
How are domains related to eachover (parent/child etc)?
2)
Browsing is using NetBIOS/WINS, not DNS. You nead to implement WINS or NetBIOS over TCP/IP (NetBT) to get browsing working.
