After a lot of static showed up, only on my end, whether a call was made, or received, I noticed that my faxes were not going through or coming in any more. The static problem has been fixed, but I still can't get a fax, or send one, from my HP 1040 Fax machine or my computer modem. It seems like my line won't listen long enough to talk to the other fax machine. The error message is "line busy."
