I have 2 computers running Win95, each has NE2000 compatible BNC network cards, one has a 33.6 internal modem...The cards are installed and recognized with no conflicts....Now I need step by step instructions of how to: 1)setup a network using Win95 linking the computers 2)allow both computers to access the Internet via the 33.6 modem. Thanks!

Ok, you need the cards connected with thinnet coax cable and each card must use a T-connector and a terminator. Then, from the Network control panel, add the TCP/IP protocol and assign each computer an IP number (I would typically use 200.150.100.1 and 200.150.100.2) with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Leave all other TCP/IP settings blank. When you reboot you should now be able to ping each computer by IP number (from a DOS prompt, type "ping 200.150.100.1" and repeat changing the 1 to 2). this verifies there is a connection to each computer. As for modem sharing, this is not an easy thing. You can use a program called WinGate to create a "virtual" gateway to the internet. I've done this before for a client who had 3 machines configured as I'm describing here). I then had to determine what IP number the ISP was providing by connecting to the ISP with the machine that has the modem and then going to start and selecting run and running the command "winipcfg" (that tells you the IP settings for your current connection to the internet). Once you have you're currently assigned IP number you need to configure you're web browser and related apps to use a proxy server (if they have that option - IE3 & Netscape both do).
But there's a problem.
Since most ISPs assign you a different number every time you log on, this gets to be very annoying when trying to use both machines. Each time you reconnect to the ISP you need to reset the proxy server info for your web browser and other Internet related apps to the currently assigned IP number. There may be other ways of doing it, but this is the only one I know of.
