Question : how to establish a bluetooth piconet
|
|
Hi,
First, I am newbie on BLUETOOTH, so please be clear with your answers ;)
I want to establish a bluetooth piconet. Simply, my computer will have a bluetooth module, and there will be an another bluetooth module (free module), and there will be also a PDA which has a bluetooth module.
Then, I will positioned my computer to my table, free module will be positioned 10 metres away and PDA will be set to 10 metres away from free module. So there will be 20 metres between my computer and PDA. To supply communication between my computer via PDA, I will use this free module. Theorically, my purpose is this ;) But, on action; How can I do that? What type bluetooth modules do I need? Can you give me a starting point (any article, any website, manufucturer)???
Thanks...

Well, what you have should be fine. A piconet is a set of devices that are connected to by one master. So for example the following may work...
PC(A) connects to PC(B) PC(A) also connects to PDA
So, in this case PC(A) is the master of both devices. This is also a simple piconet.
Also, what type of connection are you attempting to make between the devices? L2CAP, RFCOMM or will you use SPP, LAP, profiles?
