Question : Move IIS mailroot folder to a different drive
Hi all -
I have a brand new Windows 2008 Server in my environment running as a SMTP server using IIS. We use this server to send thousands of email blasts for hotel reservations.
Currently, when we installed the smtp component in IIS - it installed the folders in drive C. I would like to keep drive C for the OS only and move the folder to drive D which has a bigger size drive.
Can anyone assist me with this?
Thanks,
-Dom
Answer : Move IIS mailroot folder to a different drive
SMTP still uses the old metabase, so you should be able to edit metabase.xml and do a search for mailroot. Replace each of the paths you find with D: instead of C:. Then just xcopy the directory over to your D: drive.
