Question : Shares viewed through Gateway For NFS aren't refreshed properly.
We have installed Gateway for NFS on a Server 2003 R2 file server and attached a drive letter to an NFS NAS device on site. From our client machines we can successfuly map to it and see it via Windows Explorer, but we have to hit the "refresh" button each time something is changed to view the changes. Explorer won't update the screen until we hit "refresh". Is there a way to resolve this?
Answer : Shares viewed through Gateway For NFS aren't refreshed properly.
Windows storage server offers perfect SMB/CIFS shares. You can configure DFS in your domain to make shares on different computers to appear in same directory for user. It is not the best NFS implementation out there.
