Question : DHCP/BINL service on this computer running windows server 2003 for Small Business Server has encountered another server on this network with IP Address, 10.0.0.19, belonging to the domain
Hi,
This has sprung up late yesterday.
The SBS has an ip of 10.0.0.2, the 10.0.0.19 machine is a users machine, ive checked everything on that machine, and have ran DHCPLOC and verified it is sending out DHCP server requests, however buggered if i can find a DHCP server on his machine.
When his machine is off, DHCP on SBS functions fine, it fails over as soon as his PC comes up
Only different things about his PC that i can see, is that he uses LOGMEIN remote software.
Apart from uninstalling that, (ive disabled service to no avail) is there a way i can block a DHCP server on his computer, maybe via port blocking etc?
thanks in advance

It hasn't got something silly like ics enabled does it? Best bet is to get network monitor software on it and it should tell you which service or executable is sending out the traffic.
