Question : "The system cannot find the file specified." message

Hi guys,

In our intranet, we have a link to an .EXE file.

We changed one of the servers (the one who have the downloadeable files), and when a user click on a file link (intra.siderar.ot/apps/prod_manager.exe) the following message appears:

The system cannot find the file specified.

Any solution?... the file is there!

Answer : "The system cannot find the file specified." message

404.0 means that IIS can't physically locate the file.

In the propeties for the apps directory in IIS try setting the Directory Browsing check box.
Once this is done browse to http://servername/apps and you should see a directory listing.

Do you see the files listed in the directory listing when browsing the directory this way?
