Question : localhost:5800

I need to enable localhost:5800 in Xp for a vnc proxied connection. I get a 'local loop-back connections are disabled' error when trying to access the java appletith the password. It works over the internal network but not local. How can I enable localhost:5800 ?  I'm running IIS.

Answer : localhost:5800

This is not related to the fact that you are running Windows XP or IIS.  This is part of the VNC code from ATT Labs.  You would be unable to perform this action regardless of the OS that VNC is installed on.  

Long story short, this is by design in the VNC code.  On a side note, why would you want to remote into the computer that you are sitting at?  ;-)
