I am setting up a LAN for about 40 users., I will be directing all thier internet traffic to use a web proxy I am building (Squid Proxy). Is there any type of internet traffic that my users CANNOT accomplish by using just the web proxy? Can you give me examples of applications that will fail as a result of my setup? I would think that certain FTP and chat and VOIP client applications I could not use since everything would need to be browser based, going thru my web proxy?? So I would somehow have to let them bypass the proxy??
Please give me some guidance and specific examples of what the users could not do with my proposed setup. Thank you.
