Question : <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.abc.com" target="_blank">http://www.abc.com</a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://abc.com" target="_blank">http://abc.com</a> dilemma

The site my friend administrating is accessible via http://www.abc.com but not with http://abc.com

So, the server is linux server having apache in it. What to do to fix this?

Anyway, why do I need to declare http or www explicitly? What is the cause of this?

Best regards.

An entry with and without www. should be in the host headers. It's most likely a problem with your DNS or Name Servers. Try running a DNS Report (http://thednsreport.com/) ~ that should give you some indication. If you post the domain name I could check and advise.
