Question : LINKSYS WRT54G RANDOMLY DROPS SIGNAL, ALTHOUGH STRENGTH IS STRONG

I have a Linksys wrt54g, and a wifi card.  I have good strong signal throughout the house, but it randomly drops the connection.  What could be causing this?

When the connection is dropped, are you still able to connect with a wired connection? If so, try disabling the Windows Wireless Zero Configuration service. It is known to cause problems similar to this, although it could be numerous things such as interference by cordless phones and microwaves. For the latter you can try changing the wireless channel you are using, that sometimes helps. For information about the zero configuration service see the following links:

If you suspect the Linksys router might be a problem try updating the firmware:
