Question : I cannot access the internet but i can access my home network. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, it just happened yesterday and i tried accessing the internet with it and i got the cannot find server error. The computer is a laptop with a Kingston EtheRx IC PCCard ethernet adapter (KNE-PC2). Most of the settings seems to be fine. I've done the ipconfig renewal/release and still doesn't work. I've scanned the system for spyware and came up negative. Same goes with virus. I'm wondering if its the ethernet card, but this never happened until yesterday. Also, i tried configuring the ip manually and still can't access the internet.

Trying enter static ip address on the laptop. Let try to verify the information you are giving out is correct. If you have another computer that is connect the save ip. Do an ipconfigure /all on that pc and jog down the ip informations.

Then on your laptop enter the a static ip address (make it .151 to elimate the change of ip conflict) Then enter all the information the same as it appears on the other pc.

If you still experience problem it is like the problem with winsock like  thejzearfoss said.
