Question : Uninstalled Efficient SpeedStream 4060 DLS Modem from windows XP won't go away.

I have uninstalled my Efficient SpeedStream 4060 from windows XP, but the component still shows up bound to my network card. I have tried to run uninstall from the enet card properties, and the system hangs with an error that forces a reboot.

I have run the Efficient Enclean program which completes OK, but the s/w is still hanging around.  I have disabled it but it still appears as a component of the ethernet card.

Any help?...thanks...Ron

You too..  And come back in whenever you have another problem...  Rather work on someone elses anyway..!!!   And good luck with your SS issue..  guess you will never install that again..!!

BTW:  did you do a search of your registry for anything resembling Speedstream..??  Last year I had to take a copy of Trend AV off a system and found over 50 instances of it in my registry.  Although it was a struggle, I won that battle....   (although the war continues..:)
