I am based in Europe and I would like to by a FCC american standars wireless router.
I would like to know whether it will be compatible with European ETSI wi-fi cards.

Hi,
The hardware is compatible, only if you use FCC in a ETSI spectrum you will miss 2 channels (12 and 13) and vica versa.
