Question : DHCP relay agent /Linux router

Hello every one;

I am a newly converted to networking and need a bit of help.

1. Is it possilbe to run a DHCP relay agent on NT 4 workstatin? if yes how? do I need some third party software?

2. How to make a Linux router on 486 machine and make it work for windows 2000 network?

3. How to configure multiple scopes for different sub-nets on the same DHCP server? IS it possible?

Background to question:

Have a smal net-work for practice purposes that consists of a server running win2k AD server, 2 clients runing 2k Pro and NT 4 workstation supposed to do the job of router. BUT it does not work. The rounter is make a member of domain and has STATIC IP for all the three cards fitted. The clients when given a static ip can only see NT (router) but not server, hence can not optain IP through DHCP, and NT can see both sides i.e. server and clients. Figured out that I need a DHCP Relay agent since the Clients are on the other side of router. Since the clients are on the other side of rounter they are categorised as being a different sub-net. Am I wrong?

help and comment are appreciated.
Regards
