I have a problem with sending a excel attachment via outlook using exchange 6.5. It is blocking a known good file and finally returns an error in the sent folder of the email saying the following: Removed_by_the_exchange_email_Scanning_service_008BC5E7_55e9f.txt (5kb) Also using TrendMicro Anti-spam,anti-spyware,anti-virus,etc. Can you shed some light on this critical problem? Take a look in the logs of your TrendMicro application to see if you can determine the disposition of the mail. I am running Trend's IMSS Suite and use the Logs/Query function to track mail from or to a particular recipient to determine the reason for the message or attachments being blocked. From that, you should get an indication of what happened -- which is usually due to the scanning rules that are in place and the attachment is being seen as a virus or such. You can tweak your rules to allow the attachment to be sent, or possibly add the file extension as an exception to the scanning rules, etc.
