Question : Reverse DNS records
I have issues with reverse DNS
I have 3 SBS servers different locations
One on Bigpond , TPG , & Optus ISPs
The websites are hosted separately & they look after the DNS
Email records are sent to their static IP addresses.
No problem with dnsreport with
The bigpond or tpg Isps
All servers setup the same with same DNS host
Only optus is saying I have no rDNS records
Dns report is saying its up to Optus to sort
Or can I put the records on the server. ?
Im still trying to figure out how all this works.
Thanks
Answer : Reverse DNS records
Your ISP that supplies the public IP addressess is responsible for RDNS. You just have to tell them what hostname you want it to point to (mail.domain.com).
