Question : Cisco 2610XM with T1 Not Connecting
|
|
I am having an issue with Covad T1 service and a Cisco 2600 router, here is my config.
version 12.4 service timestamps debug datetime msec service timestamps log datetime msec no service password-encryption ! hostname cisco ! boot-start-marker boot-end-marker ! ! no aaa new-model no ip cef ! ! ! ! no ip domain lookup ! ! ! ! ! ! ! interface FastEthernet0/0 ip address ####.87.1 255.255.255.192 duplex auto speed auto ! interface Serial0/0 no ip address encapsulation frame-relay IETF no ip mroute-cache service-module t1 timeslots 1-24 frame-relay interface-dlci 16 ppp Virtual-Template1 frame-relay lmi-type ansi ! interface Virtual-Template1 ip address negotiated ppp chap hostname #### ppp chap password 0 #### ppp ipcp dns request ! ip forward-protocol nd ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.22.0.1 ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.16.0.1 ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.17.0.1 ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.31.255.253 ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.31.255.249 ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.31.255.245 ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.31.255.244 ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.31.255.241 ! no ip http server no ip http secure-server ! ! control-plane ! ! line con 0 line aux 0 line vty 0 4 password #### ! ! end
Heres a sh ip route command Gateway of last resort is 172.31.255.253 to network 0.0.0.0 172.18.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnets C 172.18.35.27 is directly connected, Virtual-Access1 172.31.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnets C 172.31.255.253 is directly connected, Virtual-Access1 S* 0.0.0.0/0 [1/0] via 172.31.255.253
This router is connected to the T1 via WIC; the FE 0/0 Port is going to a PIX 515's FE 0/0 which is assigned ###.87.2.
Covad wont provide support for a non-issued router.
I would use their router; it however doesnt work for my config that was answered in a previous question of using external ips and map them to internal hosts.
