Heres a sh ip route command
Gateway of last resort is 172.31.255.253 to network 0.0.0.0
     172.18.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnets

S*   0.0.0.0/0 [1/0] via 172.31.255.253

This router is connected to the T1 via WIC; the FE 0/0 Port is going to a PIX 515's FE 0/0 which is assigned ###.87.2.

Covad wont provide support for a non-issued router.

I would use their router; it however doesnt work for my config that was answered in a previous question of using external ips and map them to internal hosts.
