Question : Using Netscreen 5GT with Comcast Cable Modem at home

I have Comcast high-speed Internet at home.  I was wondering if it is possible to setup a Netscreen 5GT.   In the 'interface' section on the Netscreen it gives me three options:

Obtain IP using DHCP
Obtain IP using PPPoE
Static Ip

I've tried using all three of these options and I haven't been successful.  I wasn't given any static ip addresses.  On my WAN settings on my Comcast modem it just says 'Dynamic IP' and it gives me one pubilc ip.  Has anyone ever set this up successfully?

Answer : Using Netscreen 5GT with Comcast Cable Modem at home

the option you want is obtain ip using DHCP. some comcast modems remember the MAC address of the last piece of equipment that was successfully connected. so unplug the power from the comcast modem for about 5 minutes (on some it can take up to 10). This should clear what ever MAC address was stored so that you can connect your 5GT
