Question : Replacement SMTP Server

Hi experts,

We've reached the end of our tether with the IIS SMTP Virtual Server in Win2k3.  Seems to lock up for no reason and sits there with mail queues until you manually, (or scheduled), restart the service and then everything goes out. Coupled with no GUI, it's making management of the SMTP gateway a nightmare.

I would be interested in any user recomendations for replacement SMTP server software that can be installed on Win2k3 and be used by websites running on IIS, (without having to change any code, i.e. it's seen as the default SMTP service on port 25), and also has account management that allows us to setup authenticated users.

Ideally the server should have some kind of logging GUI that allows us to see current queue status, error logs, (in an interpreted form) and general status screens.

Any tips?   Don't mind paying for it so doesn't have to be freeware.

Try free version of SmarterMail ( available at www.smartertools.com) It supports 1 domain with 10 users.
