Question : MPLS configuration

Working with a service provider on implementing a 4 site MPLS network, using static routes (only 1 subnet at each location)  I was asked from the service provider if I wanted to advertise a default route from the HQ.  I am unsure as to why they would want to advertise a route to me when I already know it?  the remotes will use the HQ internet connection, so if I have a static route built to the next hop router for internet connectivity, what would be the reason to advertise to the remote sites?

Answer : MPLS configuration

It's really so that they can advertise the default route within their own BGP infrastructure. Sure, a remote site simply points the default route to the next hop in the cloud, but the cloud needs to know where the default route originates (HQ).
