Question : Moving IP Office to another server
I have a 2000 windows server hosting
Avaya IP Office
CCC\Delta Server
CCC\CBC
Voicemail Pro
I need to decommision the server it's on at the moment and move to a new server. can anyone tell me how I would find out what versions of the programs I am running. If I click on the About within IP Office manager its all mixed up. can not read it.
Also can anyone tell me what I need to do for the move. any thing I should know before I start etc
Answer : Moving IP Office to another server
This is from Avaya:
1. Select Start | Programs | IP Office | System Status.
2. On the Logon menu enter the required details. For a default systems these will be:
" Control Unit IP Address: 192.168.42.1
" Services Base TCP Port: 50804
" User Name: Administrator
" Password: Administrator
3. Click Logon.
4. If the details are correct, SSA should show Waiting for connection and then the IP Office system
status.
The Status page will include the software version currently being run.
To move to a new server, you should have the original CD for the program. You save the configuration from the old server to a network file store or a movable media (CR-ROM, USB drive, etc.). There is a configuration save and restore process in the IP Office manual:
