Question : Setting up Windows 2003 Server as a router for IP traffic

I need some help settong up a server as a router. I have a server setup for routing through the routing and remote acccess dialog box. I enabled routing for IP on the server and thats it. I then setup on the lan adapter of the server both IP address (192.168.1.1, MASK: 255.255.255.0 and 192.168.10.1, MASK: 255.255.255.0). I know that I can change the mask to avoid having to route but let just say that I want to test the routing of the server.
Now I have two computers, one on 192.168.1.0 network and the other on 192.168.10.0 networks and on each computer I set the default gateway to the servers ip address and I thought that I could ping the other computer but I cant. Does the server automatically route "any" packets to the other side by default, or is there something else I need to configure?
The server can ping both of the two computers but the computers cant see each other.

Answer : Setting up Windows 2003 Server as a router for IP traffic

Normally and especially in real routers this should work fine. It is router with two directly connected networks. You dont need to add static or dynamic routing.
Check the routing and remote access console to see if something is missing.

But always have in mind that routing is performed  by routers!!! :)
