Question : specified service does not exist as an installed service?

when i try to check the box

allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection

i keep getting this error

an error occured while internet connection sharing was being enabled
the specified service does not exist as an installed service



any ideas why this would be happening and what i can do to overcome it

i have two other network computers
wireless and another one through a cable.
i would like to share this computers cable internet access
i was having no troubles sharing with the wireless before, but now that i'm trying to connect to my new pc it won't allow anything to connect and i'm getting the above error.

Why don't you connect all of the machines through a wireless router and disable internat connection sharing?

How do you have your wireless setup now?

How are you connecting to the cable modem now?
